At the Pferdestadt Rapier Classic Presents Tournament of Defense on September
14, 2019, Gwenllyen the Minstrel was elevated to the rank of Pelican in
the SCA. She received this for her service as a previous Baroness of North
Woods, founder of the Children's Guild, instructor in Dance, harpist, and
as a rapier fighter. All of these are represented in the pictures decorating
the box.
The scroll text is on the top of the box with the heraldry
for the Pelican - the Swan in her Piety. (The dime is included to show the
scale/size of the scroll.)
The box plays Dame Gwenllyen's favorite tune
- Hyde Park.
Her personal arms are the 3 holly, as shown on the end
of the box.
In the 'secret hiding place' the text gloss and documentation
for the images is stored.
